Join us at the Adelaide City Library on Wednesday 13 November between 12pm and 12.45pm to hear the exciting, strange and often tragic stories found in the South Australian Railways employee history sheets held by State Records.

The railways employed thousands of men and women from the 1880s onwards, from train drivers to engineers and useful youths to comptometristes.

The history sheets record employees’ service and give some surprising details about what they got up to during work hours – derailments, impersonations and lots of card games!

Book your spot.
